Oli Barrett approached us back at the tail end of 2006 and asked us to help him give away £100,000 to pupils across the UK to do “enterprising things”. We’ll admit we were a touch nervous to begin with, what could schools really do in just one month? We were wrong to doubt them. Oli’s enthusiasm and the sheer brilliance & hard work of the pupils meant that the project was a startling success. Many schools made a profit some even made over £1000 (that’s from a starting point of £40-£50 and with only one month).

The project, as you might expect, received a ton of coverage including 2 special features on Newsnight and countless column inches. MYMWAT is now looking to grow and talks are underway for the next stage. Watch this space…
