The Cogs passport is a tool for supporting students who are following the Cogs skills framework. It helps them to review their progress against the skills and to share their achievements and targets with other people. The project was run in conjunction with Ultralab, Edunova, BECTA and Unity City Academy.
What is the Cogs Skills Framework?
The Cogs skills framework is a set of learner competencies for Key Stage 2 & 3 learners.
It involves students getting involved in activities that will enable them to develop the skills
that are important for being able to learn effectively.
In particular they are designed to help students access new approaches to learning
when they move from primary school to a new environment in secondary school.
The framework supports thinking skills, personal qualities and interpersonal skills helping students to appreciate who they are, how they work best, what they are good at and how to be an independent learner.
